Patriot National Buys National Wholesale Brokerage

Patriot National announced Thursday that it has acquired Mid Atlantic Insurance Services, a wholesale brokerage firm and program administrator offering commercial property and casualty insurance lines. The Fort Lauderdale-based carrier said the acquisition brings 12 new carrier relationships and 1,100 new retail agencies under its umbrella. Mid Atlantic, headquartered in Richmond, Virgnia, serves independent insurance agencies in 38 states. The brokerage will become part of Patriot Underwriters.
