A federal judge on Friday sentenced former Pacific Hospital of Long Beach marketer Paul Randall to 15 months in federal prison for his role in a spinal surgery kickback scheme at another Southern California hospital.
Randall’s attorney, H. Dean Steward, said the sentence was “really fair” and close to the one-year term he was seeking. The U.S. Attorney’s Office, which asked the judge to hand down a three-year sentence, did not respond to multiple requests for comment on Friday.
