The chairman of a Florida Senate committee said he will not hold a confirmation hearing for John MacIver, who was appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis as chief judge of the Division of Administrative Hearings last fall.
The Senate needs to confirm MacIver, but its Ethics and Elections and Governmental Oversight and Accountability committees have to approve the nomination before the full chamber can vote on it.
