The Florida Division of Workers’ Compensation reports a significant drop in COVID-19 claims in March and April.
The DWC’s latest report on COVID-19 claims shows 104 were filed in March and 118 were filed in April. That follows 593 claims filed in February and 5,955 filed in January.
Claims filed in March and April bring the total number of COVID-19 indemnity claims filed in Florida since 2020 to 72,152. Florida employers have paid $193.8 million in benefits on those claims.
