Frictional costs in California's workers' comp system have declined in recent years, but they remain much higher than any other comp jurisdiction or state benefit-delivery system, according to researchers from the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau.
“While things have gotten a little better in terms of frictional costs and gone down a bit in some areas, they’re still far higher than in other states,” WCIRB Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary Dave Bellusci said Tuesday during an Actuarial Committee meeting.
