1,500 Frontline Workers File Claims Since Presumption Law Passed

Since Minnesota lawmakers in April approved a COVID-19 presumption law for frontline workers, more than 1,500 of them have filed workers' comp claims after catching the disease, state officials said. The state Department of Labor and Industry had received 2,018 COVID-19-related claims by June 26, according to a news report. Some 1,567 of those came from front-line workers. Most of those were filed by health care workers. About 1,026 claims had been accepted by June 26, the news outlet said.
