A New York appellate court overturned a denial of benefits to a claims examiner who allegedly suffered injuries while carrying furniture into his home office.

Facts: Matrix Absence Management hired Christopher Capraro as a claims examiner. This was a work-from-home position, and Matrix provided Capraro with computer equipment for the job.
Capraro asked if Matrix would cover the cost of office furniture, and the company said it would not. Capraro nevertheless ordered new items.
