A New Jersey postal worker who allegedly ran a pest control business while collecting indemnity benefits is charged with insurance fraud and theft by deception, according to a press release by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
The U.S. Postal Service notified the office in December 2015 that claimant Christopher Cassese of Bergenfield was operating his own pest control business, Semper Fi Pest Control, while he was out on injury leave from his job at the Bergenfield, New Jersey post office. Cassese had received $20,000 in benefits, prosecutors say.
