Florida regulators heard from all sides Wednesday on a shift in the way medical reimbursement is determined, with hospitals supporting the changes but insurers and doctors' groups objecting.
“Providers in Florida get paid less than the national average. This is a slap in the face when you see just an 0.9% increase,” said Agueda Maanao, who represents a Tampa physicians' practice. “This is really unfair and it needs to be looked at again.”
