Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis extended an emergency order prohibiting carriers from canceling policies for another 60 days while the state continues to repair damage caused by Hurricane Ian.
The governor first issued the order prohibiting cancellations and non-renewals on Sept. 23. He renewed the emergency order on Nov. 21, saying, “recovery efforts and those affected by this disaster require the continued support of the state of Florida.”
