A man who worked in real estate for nine years while collecting disability benefits from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation was ordered to pay $151,705 in restitution after being convicted of fraud.
The BWC said David L. Garner, 66, worked as both a real estate agent and a real estate broker from 2009 through 2018.
Evidence obtained during an investigation reportedly showed Garner intentionally misrepresented and withheld his outside employment to receive benefits.
