California lien claimants who have not yet filed a declaration mandated by Senate Bill 1160 to preserve their claims should do so by the close of business on June 30, according to the Division of Workers’ Compensation.
Senate Bill 1160 requires a declaration stating that a lien is not subject to independent bill review or independent medical review and that the lien claimant satisfies one of seven criteria to be eligible to file the lien.
