OCDA Charges Police Officer With Fraud

The Orange County District Attorney’s Office said it is charging a 39-year-old police officer with four felony counts of insurance fraud after he was allegedly observed riding a motorcycle and attending college classes while receiving workers’ compensation benefits. The District Attorney’s Office said Santa Ana police Officer Jonathon Ridge also loaded a car and drove to Utah, and went to the beach when his doctors said he was too injured to work.
