Ammonia Refrigeration System Earns Seafood Plant Severe Violator Status

A Texas frozen seafood processor faces penalties of $155,000 and earned a place within the U.S. Occupational Safety Administration's Severe Violator Enforcement after a July inspection of the plant's anhydrous ammonia refrigeration system. OSHA said it issued citations for 11 serious and three repeat violations to Rich Products Corp. in Brownsville, Texas.
