BWC Schedules Hearing on Rules that Would Limit Reimbursement for Compounds

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation is holding a public hearing in June to gather testimony on a proposed rule that would limit reimbursement for compound drugs. At the same time, the bureau is proposing to add an appendix to the outpatient medication formulary rule. Proposed changes to rule 4123-6-21 would reduce situations in which the BWC will pay for non-sterile compound medications.
