The Alaska Division of Workers’ Compensation has adopted a new Medical Fee Schedule, reducing the conversion factor used to calculate reimbursements for surgery and radiology.
Alaska’s fee schedule is based on Medicare’s Resource-Based Relative Value Scale, which assigns “relative value units” to procedure codes that are multiplied by a conversion factor to calculate the dollar amount owed for services.
