A woman who got into a car crash on her first day as a driver for a company she hadn’t been cleared to work for can receive medical benefits, but not indemnity benefits, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania decided last week.

Facts: Latisha Latimer was interviewed by Keystone Quality Transport Co. for a driver position on Sept. 11, 2014. She got the job, but before the hire was final, she needed to pass a drug test. She submitted to the test that week.
