A Louisiana appellate court upheld a decision by the Workers' Compensation Court that reversed a decision of the Office of Workers' Compensation. Case: McKay v. State, No. 21-471, 06/01/2022, published. Facts: Walter McKay worked as a master plumber/pipe fitter for the State of Louisiana. On Oct. 26, 2018, McKay was attempting to clear a blockage using a power machine when a burr on the cable caught his leather glove, twisting and severely injuring his left hand.
