OSHA Cites Contractor for Exposing Workers to Mercury

A Plainville, Connecticut, construction contractor is facing proposed penalties of $329,548 for allegedly exposing workers to mercury and other hazards. Manafort Brothers Inc. was cited on Nov. 28 by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The citations were for two willful and six serious violations related to mercury, respirators, protective clothing and sanitary conditions.
