Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed into law a bill that would prohibit people working for employers in the state from filing workers’ compensation claims for injuries suffered while temporarily working in other states.Senate Majority Leader John McComish, R-Ahwatukee, said representatives for professional sports teams based in the state asked him to introduce Senate Bill 1148, but an attorney for the state’s largest workers’ compensation insurance carrier said the problems caused by out-of-state claims aren’t limited to athletes and professional sports.Jim Stabler, chief co...
