A committee of the Minnesota Legislature unanimously approved a bill that would preserve for another year a COVID-19 presumption currently set to expire May 1.
The House Labor, Industry, Veterans and Military Affairs Finance and Policy Committee on Tuesday passed HF 1203, bill author Rep. Dan Wolgamott, D-St. Cloud, said in a statement.
State lawmakers in 2020 enacted the presumption that COVID-19 is compensable for firefighters, peace officers, paramedics, health care providers, nurses, child care providers and correctional workers. The presumption automatically sunsets at the start of May....
