The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation said the reporting period is open for employers that opted out of providing coverage or have recently ended coverage.
Employers that don’t provide workers’ compensation coverage must file DWC Form-005, “Employer Notice of No Coverage or Termination of Coverage,” each year between Feb. 1 and April 30, the division said.
Employers that fail to submit the form on time can face penalties.
