Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards has appointed Marc Zimmermann, a psychologist from Prairieville, to the Workers' Compensation Advisory Council as the Louisiana Psychological Association representative.
Zimmermann fills a seat left vacant by the departure of James Quillin, a psychologist from Alexandria.
Zimmermann said he has been seeing injured workers for more than 20 of the roughly 35 years he has worked as a psychologist. He treats workers, evaluates patients and performs independent medical examinations, he said.
