The California Division of Workers’ Compensation on Monday announced that lien declarations must be served on all parties in a move that has lien claimants scrambling for answers ahead of Friday’s filing deadline.
The division issued a Newsline informing California’s workers’ compensation community that the declarations required by Senate Bill 1160 for the more than 1 million liens filed between 2013 and the start of the year must be received by 5 p.m. Friday “in order to ensure a timely filing.”
