Industry Insiders See National Momentum to Reduce Opioid Abuse

After years of increasing rates of opioid painkiller addiction and overdose deaths, a flurry of efforts in states across the country have signaled the growing momentum to reduce the prevalence of the drugs. The New Jersey Department of Consumer Affairs convened a Pain Management Council to address opioid misuse last week, marking the latest in a string of legislative and regulatory efforts in states, including California, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Maine, to address opioid abuse.
