Zadroga Act Victim Compensation Fund Opens

The September 11th Victim Compensation Fund opened for registration on Monday under a mandate included in the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010.Sheila Birnbaum, special master of the $2.8 billion fund, said in a news release the fund will continue to open in phases throughout October and will begin accepting claims next month.The U.S. Justice Department, which administers the fund, launched a new registration and information website on Monday."With today’s opening, potential claimants can now register online, receive a checklist of documents and information that they...
