Owner of Construction Company Accused of Premium Fraud

The owner of a construction company in Fresno self-surrendered Thursday after a warrant was issued for her arrest on six felony counts of fraud, the California Department of Insurance announced. Carolyn Plaza, 41, is accused of failing to report more than $3 million in payroll at a contracting business she co-owned, Absolute Urethane Inc.
