DWC Adds Fraud Prosecutor, Makes Other Changes to Top Legal Staff

The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation set tongues wagging and emails flying this week after announcing with minimal explanation a number of staff changes in its legal department. Nicholas Canaday, a well-known litigator who has been general counsel for the past four years, is now “special counsel,” handling litigation that affects the Texas comp system, the DWC announced in a news release Tuesday.
