A bill mandating the creation of a prescription drug monitoring program in Missouri -- the last state in the nation that does not have such a database -- was awaiting a vote in the state House of Representatives on Tuesday after receiving committee approval last week. House Bill 1892 by Rep. Holly Rehder, R-Sikeston, would require the state Department of Health and Senior Services to create a database to track prescriptions for controlled substances on the Drug Enforcement Administration's Schedules II, III or IV.
