The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation wants insurers to use electronic forms when requesting reimbursement from the state's Subsequent Injury Fund.
For decades, carriers have made the requests through the mail. DWC is now proposing to amend the administrative code, Section 116.11, to require that the requests be made only through email, fax, electronic data interchange or other web-based means. The requests would have to be done on computer forms, one for each type of request, Deputy Commissioner Kara Mace said in a memo.
