Rules Proposed to Calculate Value of Employer-Provided Housing

The Montana Department of Labor and Industry will hold a hearing Friday on proposed rules governing how to calculate the value of employer-provided housing when determining wages paid to an injured worker. Proposed rules would require payers to use the department’s “Montana Workers’ Compensation Housing, Rent or Lodging Rates” sheet when calculating pre-injury wages to determine compensation owed to a worker.
