New Rules for Utilization Review, Billing and EDI Take Effect Feb. 18

The Florida Division of Workers' Compensation gave notice on Monday that it has adopted numerous changes to its rules on reimbursement for medical services and utilization review, which will go into effect on Feb. 18. The DWC adopted amendments to Rules 69L-7.710, 69L-7.720, 69L-7.730, 69L-7.740 and 69L-7.750. The division said the changes are a substantial rewrite and reorganization of the previous Rule 69L-7.710. The rule is now divided into five sections.
