AIG Names Thomas Leonardi EVP for Government Affairs

American International Group Inc. has hired former Connecticut insurance commissioner Thomas Leonardi as the company’s executive vice president of government affairs, public policy and communications. Leonardi, whose appointment is effective Nov. 1, will report to Chief Executive Officer Brian Duperreault. Leonardi and Duperreault served together on the U.S. Treasury Department’s Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance.
