The administrator for the Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division said a recent audit of COVID-19 claims shows insurers are complying with a new rule requiring them to conduct “reasonable” investigations before denying claims.
The preliminary results appear, for now, to satisfy concerns from some Management-Labor Advisory Committee members over whether carriers are denying workers’ claims without due diligence.
