DLI Working with Hospitals, Insurers on Framework for Inpatient Fee Schedule

Stakeholders in Minnesota’s workers’ compensation scheme are hoping to bring both administrative costs and the number of nasty disagreements down by developing a Medicare-based fee schedule for hospital inpatient services. Workers’ Compensation Commissioner Ken Peterson told WorkCompCentral on Tuesday that he’d like to see stakeholders reach an agreement in the next month on an inpatient fee structure based on the Medicare Diagnosis-Related Group system so the division can propose a rule.
