Workers’ compensation courts in New Jersey will remain closed to the public for approximately two more weeks as the state attempts to slow the spread of COVID-19, a judge announced Thursday.
Until June 8, there will be no in-person proceedings aside from some “emergent matters,” and ongoing trials and motions for temporary benefits will be limited, said Russell Wojtenko Jr., director and chief judge of the New Jersey Division of Workers' Compensation.
During allowed proceedings, all parties must wear masks and abide by social distancing practices, Wojtenko said.
