Quinn Signs Bill Allowing Psychologists to Prescribe

Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn signed into law a bill that will make the state just the third in the nation that allows psychologists to prescribe medications used to treat mental illnesses, the Chicago Tribune reported.In most states, a patient sees a psychologist for therapy and has to see a psychiatrist for medications such as antidepressants.
