Rhode Island’s Workers’ Compensation Court Medical Advisory Board will hold its next meeting Jan. 23.
The Board meets every four to six weeks to discuss issues within workers’ compensation medical care, such as protocols and standards of treatment for work-related injuries, the establishment of preferred provider networks and the appointment of impartial medical examiners.
At January’s meeting, the Fee Schedule Task Force will speak, and discussions of medical protocol concerning lumbar fusions, herniated lumbar discs and contact dermatitis will be held.
