Zenith National Insurance Corp. (NYSE:ZNT) reported in a press release an operating loss after tax of $5.1 million, or $0.30 per share, for the third quarter of 2000. This compares to a third quarter of 1999 operating loss after tax of $38.8 million, or $2.26 per share. For the nine months ending September 30, 2000 operating results were a loss after tax of $30.5 million, or $1.77 per share, compared to a loss after tax of $44.8 million, or $2.61 per share, for the nine months ended September 30, 1999.
