Pie Insurance Enters Rhode Island, Vermont

Pie Insurance, which sells workers’ comp insurance online directly to small businesses, has received approval to do business in Rhode Island and Vermont. Pie now provides workers’ comp coverage in 31 states and the District of Columbia, an increase from 10 states in which the company did business as of January. Pie was founded in 2017 and sold its first policy in March 2018. In Rhode Island, small businesses employ nearly 53% of the workforce, Pie said.
