Judge Extends Order in Farm Comp Coverage Case

A federal judge in New York granted an order extending until February a temporary restraining order prohibiting the state from enforcing some parts of the Farm Laborers Fair Labor Practices Act. A coalition of farmers filed suit over S6578/A8419, the state’s new farm labor law and its provisions relating to the collective bargaining rights of all agricultural workers.
