Claim frequency is 28% above average in Los Angeles and 20% below average in the San Francisco area, the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau said in a new analysis of geographic differences in California’s comp system.
The share of cumulative trauma claims was also higher in Southern California, accounting for 10% of claims in the Los Angeles and Long Beach region. In Northern California, the share is 4% of lower, the rating bureau said.
