The Texas Department of Insurance on Wednesday issued proposed regulations that would require workers’ comp carriers in the state to start filing their own terrorism rates.
The new rules were issued because the National Council on Compensation Insurance will no longer be filing advisory loss cost rates for terrorism, starting with the 2016 loss cost filing.
As a result, individual carriers will be required to file their own terrorism rate values with the Department of Insurance.
