L&I Proposing to Clarify Rating and Classification Rules

The Washington state Department of Labor & Industries is proposed to revise a number of rating and classification rules for clarity and ease of use. The department said in a Jan. 5 rulemaking notice the changes "will make it easier for agency staff and customers to understand and apply the risk classifications and subclassifications for workers' compensation, and help ensure fair and consistent rating for employers."
