The California Division of Workers' Compensation has scheduled its first public meeting to discuss the design of a drug formulary mandated by the state Legislature for Feb. 17 in Oakland.
Assembly Bill 1124, passed and signed into law by Gov. Jerry Brown last year, requires the DWC to adopt a drug formulary by July 1, 2017. The DWC said it will take input from the public on:
Design of the formulary (how to maximize evidence-based drug selection and transparency).
Integration of the formulary with existing Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule.
