The coronavirus seems to have claimed another victim.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis this week vetoed a long-sought pay raise for judges of compensation claims, saying it would be fiscally irresponsible to approve an increase when the COVID-19 pandemic is draining state finances.
In his veto letter, the governor noted that he already approved a 3% pay raise this year for state workers, including compensation judges — and himself.
There's just one problem with his logic, supporters of the pay raise said.
