Comp Board Attorney Charged With Falsifying Time Sheets at Previous Job

A senior attorney for the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board has been charged with stealing nearly $12,700 in pay for which she was not entitled while working for another state agency. Laura Cail, 48, of Troy, is charged with grand larceny in the third degree and 36 counts of offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree, both felonies, the state Inspector General’s Office said in a press release.
