Employees fired for testing positive for drug and alcohol use in Arkansas will no longer be allowed to contest the results before the state Department of Labor if the governor signs House Bill 1262, which the legislature approved last week.
HB 1262 passed in the Senate on Thursday by a 27-2 vote, with five not voting and one excused. It passed unanimously in the House on Jan. 31 among voting members. Seven representatives did not vote.
