California Attorney General Rob Bonta announced one of the owners and operators of a Thai barbecue restaurant chain operating in Los Angeles and San Francisco received a two-year suspended sentence for a payroll and sales tax fraud scheme.
Chaturonk Ngamary Jr., an owner of multiple Thai Original BBQ restaurants, failed to report to the state $7.5 million in sales and $2.9 million in wages from 2011 through 2016, Bonta’s office said in a statement.
