An Ohio manufacturer of fasteners failed to install guards on machinery, exposing workers to a risk of amputation or other injuries, the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration said.
Based on the findings of a July 30 inspection, OSHA on Jan. 21 issued citations for eight safety violations to Berea-based Telefast Industries Inc. The citations included four repeated, two serious and two other-than-serious violations, OSHA said in a news release.
